A True Gem in the Countryside with Everything to offer

So today I took to the Kent countryside roads. Luckily there were no fallen trees from the storm, just gleaming sunshine, a glimmer of spring and a beautiful drive. My destination, nestled in amongst the countryside was Hever Hotel. Most people know Hever for it's Castle, sadly overlooking this complete gem that is not to be missed.

This stunning property offers the wow factor the moment you enter the drive, head to toe in character features, it really is a beautiful woodland setting.

A lovely lady called Maisie offered to show me around the property to view the extensive space and facilities on offer.

Through the large wooden 'castle' like doors you enter reception. To the left of reception is a charming bar / Lounge which is open 24/7.

Then upstairs to the Music Lounge. This beautiful room oozes character with its beamed vaulted ceiling and grand white piano in the corner. It is perfect for smaller events or ceremonies accommodating up to 50 guests.

To the right of reception is the 'Stables restaurant' offering a tantalising menu produced by leading chefs. They also offer Afternoon teas which can be devoured in the suites. Perfect for a baby shower. The restaurant leads through to another bar. This bar is connected to the 'Hever suite' and can be used solely for functions.

The Hever suite is a large bright and airy, neutral room which overlooks woodland which can be accessed through several French doors. The Hever suite accommodates 120 people for a sit down meal and 150 for a reception. The room comes complete with a dancefloor and outdoor use which would definitely come in handy for evening BBQs, Hog Roasts or even bouncy castles and giant games to keep the children entertained. The neutral décor makes the perfect blank canvas to use your imagination and turn the room into something spectacular.

In a separate building opposite the Hever suite is the Anne Boleyn Suite. This suite is separate from the hotel and is a large rectangular suite which would accommodate 120 people. Separate from the main hotel it is the perfect place to host private parties, corporate events, baby showers or a larger wedding ceremony. It would definitely offer a beautiful large aisle for a bride to walk down.

Now as if that wasn't enough to offer there's more. The hotel consists of 70 beautifully decorated rooms and a bridal suite offered at a discount price to event guests, has a wellness Spa and is right next to the golf course.

So while you beautiful ladies chill and pamper yourself the men can be stressing on the golf course while taking in the picturesque views.

Although the hotel is likely to have other guests present (unless you get in quick and book all of the rooms) the function areas are away from the bedrooms and for function use. The joy of this hotel is that even when your event has finished there is a bar that is open 24/7 to continue the party and it even has a games room. It's just a short stroll to a room to collapse on your bed without having to worry about calling a taxi and in the morning when you are feeling slightly alive you can meet your guests in the restaurant for brekkie.

Now you would think this all inclusive stunning venue would come with a significant price tag. You would be wrong. The venue hire is extremely reasonably priced with many packages to suit every budget.

For a venue that has everything to offer and more I would definitely pay the Hever Hotel a visit. Even for a country overnight stay and spa break.
